Density Buffalo is a hybrid Buffalo Grass noted for its exceptional drought tolerance. Once established, Density requires virtually no irrigation, surviving on rainwater. This hybrid Buffalo can be mowed low for a manicured look, or when let grow, will top out around 6″ for a native look, requiring no mowing. Density can be harder to handle during installation and needs to be on a weed maintenance program for optimal results. The Grass Outlet is a licensed grower of Density Buffalo, and chose it as an improvement over the Prairie variety, growing a much more dense turf and allowing for a broad range of applications. Density will thin out in shady areas and requires 6 hours of sunlight for peak performance.
